About Me

Dr. Beckner believes that all mothers deserve to thrive and feel good about themselves.

Hey, I’m Irina! Over the past 14 years as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I’ve had the privilege of helping people all over the world—running clinics and supporting hundreds of mothers through their recovery from prenatal and postpartum complications. It’s been an incredible journey, and my passion is guiding women through their healing process, helping them get out of pain, and empowering them to feel their best—whether in their daily life or while recovering from childbirth.

I’ve been married for 15 years and together, my husband and I homeschool our five kids (10 yo and under). It’s a busy, rewarding life, and I get how overwhelming it can feel to balance it all, especially when you’re trying to take care of yourself after giving birth.

So why am I launching this app? Most women just need the basics to make progress in their health: whole foods, hydration, movement, and mindset. But here’s the thing—it’s not just about checking off a list. It’s about making these things enjoyable, having the accountability to stay on track, and being surrounded by a supportive community that cheers you on every step of the way. This is exactly what I’ve been perfecting over the last 14+ years.

You’ve probably read countless articles, watched videos, and received advice from friends and family—but it can all feel overwhelming. The suggestion to “take it easy” and wait six weeks before exercising doesn’t really address what your body needs. What about your pelvic floor, which has just gone through the intense experience of childbirth? How do you move safely and care for yourself? Is it normal for your belly and core to feel weak? And what should you do if you’re leaking or in pain?

These are the questions that I’m here to help answer—and the best part is, I can do it all online!

After all, how can you care for your little one if you’re not taking care of yourself first? My hope is that after any program or 1:1 session with me, you’ll feel empowered and confident to take care of your body—especially your pelvic floor—so you can truly thrive during this beautiful, transformative season of life. You deserve to be cared for, too.

At Postpartum Core, we recognize that each patient is different with different strengths, weaknesses, asymmetries, and muscle imbalances. That’s why each patient needs to be assessed and treated individually for their physical therapy needs. If you need to see a physical therapist near you, please go to Find a PT.
